      Saw this table, and after doing a little research on "rubberwood" (turns out it's an environmentally friendly alternative to hardwoods), bought it.

      This table is *heavy* so get someone to assist with the assembly.

      Saw another review with a broken leaf mechanism - not the case with this one, though I had the delivery guy wait while I inspected everything.

      Service and delivery comments:

      Delivery was prompt, though in my case FedEx was not the final delivery company. The table was delivered to another freight company that called to make an appointment. This wasn't in anything that i received from Hayneedle, so on the delivery date that is quoted, check the site again to get the link of the freight co. and call them i was able to get delivery the next day - if I waited for them to call, i would have been out of town for the delivery.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I love this table.

          BUT I have issues with it. First there is a small divot it the surface of the table. It is about the size of half a dime. Also a three inch sliver broke off the leaf mechanism in transit. The leaf works fine still however.

          The hassle of sending it back will keep it in my kitchen. I just wish it was perfect. I love it besides its issues
