I bought two to be used at the kitchen island. They are the perfect height. Only complaint is that the wooden peices that are meant to hide the screws have fallen out on occasion. I tried to glue them in but it didn't work. I'm not overly concerned since they are very close to the floor and it's hard to tell where they are missing.

I bought 3 of these for my new kitchen island. Two of the three are very nice and went together very easily. Parts of the third one were not properly machined and not properly drilled and it was a real pain to assemble. I am not confident that it is sturdy. Problem is that it would take more time to take it apart, box it up, and send it back than it's worth. Somewhat of a quandary. Likely will get another one and throw the defective one out.

We needed 3 stools for our newly remodeled rec room wet bar, wanted dark brown, but being stained black, not painted, thought the sheerness would show wood grain nicely - and they do. I read reviews on many wooden stools and these were the best choice based on all good reviews, material is real wood, perfect dimensions. I put them together myself, but needed my husband's strength to screw in all screw. Put together, 2 were a bit rocky/uneven, so I added 1 extra felt protector pad to leg bottom and that made all legs flush to floor. They do feel strong & sturdy.
