I bought two to be used at the kitchen island. They are the perfect height. Only complaint is that the wooden peices that are meant to hide the screws have fallen out on occasion. I tried to glue them in but it didn't work. I'm not overly concerned since they are very close to the floor and it's hard to tell where they are missing.

We had two stools delivered. One was challenging to put together, not by design, but because the screw holes are SOOOO tight. And the legs are uneven so it wobbles a bit. The second stool had a crack in one of the legs right out of the box. I now have to box it up, return to Hayneedle and request a replacement. I would just send them both back and get from somewhere else, but I hate to take the first one apart again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
