We are using these chairs at our kitchen counter. They are sturdy, but as with any online shopping, you can't check quality and there are some marks and variations that we would have returned if bought in a local store. Didn't want to deal with the hassle of return shipping.

Back rest should be higher, it rests at an uncomfortable spot on your back. We needed to replace our old chairs quickly as one broke and when I saw these I thought they would be good for an interim replacement.

If you like high-end merchandise, you won't want these. They will be good for a few years though.

      I bought these specifically for my kitchen island and they're just what I was hoping they would be. Could have used felt footpads, but they were easily added after a trip to my local hardware. Not easy to assemble without help from my boyfriend - positioning the screws in the seat anchor plate and keeping them properly situated in the holes while pushing down and turning to leverage clearance for the next screw(s) was clearly easier said than done, without 4 hands... Other than that, though, I am pleased with the quality and construction, and delighted with the way they fit my decor, at a very reasonable price (I know - I looked around a LOT!)

        A: The seat and the swivel base that connects the legs and seat together are the only natural finished parts. The back and the legs are white.
