I bought these bar stools to use at my kitchen counter. They fit nicely, are just the right height, and look as good as I had hoped. However, when I received them I hadn't anticipated having to put them together and, as usual, with most assemble at home furniture, some of the washers were missing and the holes that had been pre-drilled were not properly lined up or cleanly drilled, and I had to scrape the wood out to get the screws in. Each chair took about 20 minutes to assemble, longer if I had to look for replacement washers on my own. In addition, a week after I learned that my order was backordered, I located the same barstools for the same price in a local store already assembled. I didn't want to go through any hassle to cancel my order, so I didn't. I think I might have been able to justify assembling the chairs myself if I got them from Hayneedle for less then I could have paid locally.

The design of the seat is wonderful! It is wide for comfort, yet narrow enough to fit under the counter top. Unfortunately the cross bars come with dowels that have been inserted already crooked. When you attempt to attach them to the legs they obviously join crooked. You are then asked to screw them together with out a pre-drilled hole. The screw then goes in crooked as well! What a shame... Customer service was very helpful and apologetic! No questions asked...

I ordered 5 of these stools. They came within a few days even though I had checked 'Free Shipping' so I was pleased with that. One of the five, however, had one leg that was 1/8 inch shorter than the other three which made it wobble. My husband was able to build it up and correct this. Other than that, we are extremely please with the quality and look.

I really love these charis. They both didn't come together that easily. The first one was a breeze, the second one took more time and left gaps between the legs and the foot rest. Had to force it together to close gaps. But overall a great looking chair, serves my purpose

Great price, easy to put together and look nice! Not quite as cushy as I thought, but still super comfortable and perfect height for our kitchen island. Couldn't be happier - in fact we ordered 2 more!

I bought four of these stools, and they work really well with our kitchen island counter. In addition, these stools are quite wide, that make them more comfortable to sit on. The padding for the stool could have been a bit more substantial. Overall, it was a good value purchase.
