        We purchased three of the stools for our kitchen island. They were lovely when we received them. However, less than two years later, we are replacing them. The finish is coming off in many areas and the backs are becoming too flexible. This is in a household of two adults. Very disappointing.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

        Like the design. Two stools went together great.Third stool had one leg assy with leg ends aboutone inch shorter apart than the other two stools.Resulted in diameter of foot rest ring greater than required. Assembled it carefully, made it work - looks like it will be serviceable, but resulting stress on the wood joints may result ina shorter service life. This appears to be a breakdown in quality control. All other processes/assembly techniques were very good. Overall, good design, materials, workmanship.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            We had shopped at several furniture stores for the perfect stool for our newly remodeled kitchen, and this was perfect. At first I tried the "save a buck or two" approach, but have determined the right choice was this stool. A high quality product!

            The first stool assembly took me about 45 minutes, but the subsequent 3 were (naturally) quicker. About 25 minutes.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              Assembly was easy, but having not read the assembly instructions, I found out that the seat goes on last. The remaining stools were much quicker.

              First one about 45 minutes, others about 30 min.
