    Purchased these bar stools for my counter height kitchen island and they look great. I was so concerned about the height of the seat that I neglected to think about the height of the top of the back rest. I originally ordered a stool that the top of the back rest would have just been 1/2 inch over the counter top. After waking in my sleep and realizing that I wouldn't have liked the look of that, I changed my order to this stool. I must say, I was right on! These stand several inches above the height of the countertop and look as I think they should. The previous ones that I had order (and thank goodness had not been shipped)would have been too short for my taste. These were easy to put together, they are sturdy and attractive. All my interest seemed to be in the $300 and above range until I saw these. They are perfect. Don't get me wrong, the vinyl seat is what it is, but the stool itself looks good and for the price, you can't beat it. I purchased an extra one in case one of these breaks, seat rips, or just to have an extra seat, etc. I'm satisfied. Thanks

The only negative was that you have to assemble them w/an allen wrench that is not long enough for an adult hand. If you don't like using allen wrenches then buy them some place else.

              I looked for weeks for stools like these. I bought the counter hight for my kitchen, but wanted a stool that had a high back so they would show well and visable over the counter. They are the perfect hight, heavy,and give off an Italian Vintage look. I bought these stools on 11/17/11 and picked ground shipping. It stated I would have them on 11/22/11. But in fact they arrived only 2 days later on 11/19/11. So I was excited. The design is beautiful!!

                I bought 3 of these and I plan to use them at our new house in kitchen at island for quick breakfast/snack purpose. I love the back of these stools. They're wood-based carved design instead of usual metal-based you see in stores. I could not find all-wood stools with such intricate design in this price range. All other sites/stores has the stools with this type of wood-based design at over $300. Assembling them was easy, my husband and I put together 3 of these in an hour, that that is generous estimate. We've not started using them yet so I can't speak of the durability but these stools are awesome and looks very pretty.
                I do wish they had an option of these stools with armrest.

                Service and delivery comments:

                The product came on time and it was well packaged. Nothing was damaged and all pieces were there. If anything, the FedEx guy left them outside under the carpool when it was raining. Luckily, I was working from the day these were delivered so I was able to bring them to house immediately.

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
