We just completed a remodel of the living room, dining room and kitchen area by opening up a wall to expand the space to have a larger space for social gatherings and a more beautiful appearance. Purchased three. Very nice looking. Heavy which you would think would also mean stable but there is a flaw in the machining of all three counter stools. The legs all measure the same but either the cut out area which the legs fit into or the screw holes on the legs are not machined correctly. On all three stools purchased, two of the four legs hit the floor level while the other two were too short hence each stool wobbles. I compensated by adding two felt pads per leg on the short sides. I think the design is good but the machining is not accurate. [...]. Would I purchase again? Don't know, depends on whether my "fix" with the felt pads will hold up.

When I opened the boxes, I was surprised to see that the stools were much nicer than I thought. The shade of cherry match my kitchen cabinets exactly and looks perfect at the island. I love the backs and seat width which makes them very comfortable, not to mention the price was right. After reading other reviews on how hard the stools were to assemble really hard made me nervous simply because I never really cared for having to put things together, and to make matters worse,I have no patience for it. I was happy to see that it was not hard at all and if I can do it, anyone can. I look forward to my future purchases with Hayneedle.

I a using this stool at a custom table for a sewing/ebroidery machine. I sorted hardware first, and followed the directions. Was very simple compared to some things we've purchased (just 24 sets of screws/washers with allen wrench). It is very sturdy and comfortable. I didn't give it a 5 because there were a couple nicks on the stool. For my purposes and the price it was a great deal. Also, with kids those will happen anyway. A touch up stain pencil or putty would easily take care of them.
