Description

Add a touch of grace to your kitchen, breakfast nook, or other dining area with the Hillsdale 25-Inch Montello Swivel Counter Stool - Pewter. Crafted from metal and highlighted with black accents at the top of the backrest, this bar stool is a positively striking addition. The steel frame features intricate castings, and double-arched steel rod legs. The rolled backrest finishes the chair with a flourish. The seat has a swivel mechanism to allow rotation of 360 degrees.

 

In addition to the elegant and stylish appearance, you get the comfort of a plush padded seat lined with 100% black faux leather. Faux leather is used for fine furniture because it looks and feels exactly like real leather, and it is nearly impossible to tell the difference. The cushion is piled high for extreme comfort and the seat is pliable and highly resistant to everyday wear and tear, making this stool versatile for any gathering area.  Some assembly is required.

I did add felt pads to the bottom of the stools so they would scoot around easily and not scratch my wood floors. With so much wood in my kitchen, the pewter finish is a nice contrast. The pewter and black also goes well with my stainless and black refrigerator. I don't have to worry about people putting their feet on the legs and scratching them. They could be taken outside for a short period of time (not over night) for a party. They are sturdy enough that my 3 year old grandson can climb up to sit without the stool tipping over.

We ordered the 28" counter-height model only to find out the website listing was incorrect and we received a 26" height model. The "bar-height" stool in this line is higher than any other bar stool and we found it to be too tall for most normal bars. We loved the design but therefore had to purchase another manufacturers line to get a "normal" bar height stool...too bad as this is a nice stool...

    The design fits any decor, casual or formal. A bit high and somewhat heavy, but comfortable and easy to keep clean.

    Service and delivery comments:

    Prompt delivery, but one stool was poorly packaged and damaged. Customer service was extremely friendly and helpful, and it was very easy to have the damaged stool picked up and another one delivered. Would definitely use this site again.
