I did add felt pads to the bottom of the stools so they would scoot around easily and not scratch my wood floors. With so much wood in my kitchen, the pewter finish is a nice contrast. The pewter and black also goes well with my stainless and black refrigerator. I don't have to worry about people putting their feet on the legs and scratching them. They could be taken outside for a short period of time (not over night) for a party. They are sturdy enough that my 3 year old grandson can climb up to sit without the stool tipping over.

We ordered the 28" counter-height model only to find out the website listing was incorrect and we received a 26" height model. The "bar-height" stool in this line is higher than any other bar stool and we found it to be too tall for most normal bars. We loved the design but therefore had to purchase another manufacturers line to get a "normal" bar height stool...too bad as this is a nice stool...

Chairs are nice quality. Possible wear problem may develop along ridge of seat where vinyl is stitched onto base of cover. Otherwise, they are of good quality and were very easy to put together. Only four screws on each one. Engineering was good, as threading was easy to start and get screwed in to completion.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and was a first time buyer of counter height bar stools. For total comfort,they seem to be an inch too high for our counter, but other than that they are great. Well constructed and attractive. A little on the heavy side, but quality is there.

Arrived sooner than expected. Packaged very well. Very easy to assemble by myself. The only reason it did not get the fifth star is because of the color. The chair is much darker brown than it appears on the internet site, both the metal and the seat cover. Very comfortable and sturdy.

I was looking for sylish counter-height bar stools, and found this stool advertised in a new color - black with cherry wood - Perfect!
Having read all of the reviews about the incorrect seat height advertised, I called customer service who looked at the mfr specs and said they did have the incorrect height advertised (which said 25" at that time). They said the counter height stool's seat is actually 28" high, and the bar height stool's seat is 32". So I ordered the 28" counter height. They said they would correct their web site, which they have now changed.
When they came, I measured the actual seat height and it is exactly 25 3/4". The cushions are very firm (but comfortable) so sitting on them only compresses them about 1/4". They still fit my counter height (which is 36 1/2"), but I do wish they were just a bit higher.
Other than that, these are beautiful stools! The quality is very good - solid and sturdy. They look much more expensive than what they were. They are heavy but still are easily moved. The black is jet-black (no distressing, antiquing or texture - just deep black and a smooth finish). The cherry wood is not super red, it's a nice rich, deep, reddish-brown.
We noticed some fine scuffs on the edges of the legs from the straps of the packaging being pulled too tight. I used a black permanent marker and went lightly over them and they covered up well.
These do not have the "snap-back" feature which I really wanted - that puts the seat back in the original position when you get off of them so you don't have to keep straightening them. But I have found that once you put them in place, they don't move easily if leaned on or bumped, so it's ok I guess.
These are good quality, beautiful stools and would recommend them to anyone! I love them!
