The Hillsdale 26-Inch Midtown Swivel Wood Back Counter Stool - Black/Dark Cherry features a warm, dark cherry wood inset on the backrest, which complements the black metal frame of the stool. The contoured legs bow outward, and the classic black vinyl seat swivels 360 degrees for convenience.


The 26 inch seat height of the Midtown Swivel Wood Back Counter Stool is perfect for counter seating. Protectors on the feet prevent scratches on your flooring. Legs measure 15mm diameter at the bottom and 31.8mm diameter at the center of the base. Some assembly is required.

    Even better than the counter stools (which are fabulous), is the treatment I got from the company. One (out of 3) of the stools I ordered had a piece missing so it could not be put together to match the others. Hayneedle immediately sent another one (which arrived promptly and is perfect) and told me to donate the defective one to any worthy cause I wanted to. What a great way to do business!! Not only was I minimally inconvenienced, but there's someone out there with a counter stool for free who wouldn't have had one otherwise. Now, that's the American way!

    The chairs look nice, are very comfortable and very affordable. [...]. However, the legs are damaging our wood floors. The "padding" that comes with the stools for the bottom of the legs was broken on 2 of the 3 stools we purchased. Because the legs are so small (13 mm diameter) I am having difficulty finding padding for the legs to protect our floors that will stay on. I'm sure I'll eventually find a solution, but it's a little frustrating at first.

      We purchased 8 of these chairs for our kitchen island. The chairs seem to be well contructed. Assembly was not complicated but did take some time. We have only been using for a week now but they are pretty comfortable. The real test will be time as we have seven children and we will see how long they hold up to the abuse of kids. Overall I would recommend these and feel they were a good deal. We did receive one chair that was damaged and my husband threw everything out before I did my inspection of everything so I am disappointed about that. We have one chair with a dent in the back and a small tear in the seat. Only suggestion to consumers would be to make sure that you inspect everything before assembling.

            I read all the reviews about this chair and was most concerned with the comments about the "pointed feet". I installed a new kitchen laminate floor and was worried about indentations and scratches. I have experience with Shiffler, a company that sells padded feet accessories. I called them and ordered the ET-01812 Gray Vinyl Table/Chair Tip for 1/2" OD Round Tube w/Brown Felt Bottom 100/pk. It matches the chair paint color perfectly.I have experience with these slide ons and they are quite trustworthy.If you buy this chair, but these glides. Cost about $50/100, [...].Other than this, great chair, could be a tad more comfortable, but for less than $100, it's a deal.Very well built.
