Hillsdale 30-in. Doncaster Swivel Bar Stool

I purchased 5 of these barstools in December. They were hard to assemble (each one took an hour)as the predrilled holes didn't line up quite right and in some instances, were much smaller than the bolt. They looked great when they were finally together. Unfortunately after three months of occasional use, 4 out of the 5 stools have had bolts fall out of the chairs numerous times. We even went as far as using Gorilla Glue to keep the bolts in (they are now stripped from the number of times they have had to be put back in). The company has been working with us to either return them or get a discount but it's very time consuming and cumbersome to pull apart 5 stools, find boxes to return them and pack them all up.

I purchased the Bar stool for my Kitchen counter. The color is just right for the room. I did think however, that I was receiving Cherry color wood with Black upholstery as that was what the picture showed. What I got was Dark brown. Like it still.

Seat back of stool needs to be attached to seat more securely. The two sets of screws on both ends of seat back creates a gap between seat and seat back causing the back to be unstable. There is no middle set of screws.
These barstools were advertised as 30" or bar height, but they are actually only 28".

These look beautiful at the bar in our kitchen and are very comfortable. Easy to assemble. Only downside, our bar counter is higher than most and based on how I was told to measure barstools by sales-people in stores where I had previously looked, I would not have called this a 30inch barstool. Still usable and looks good, but not as high as I had hoped for.

I was very pleased with the quality of this product, however, the picture on line showed black vinyl for the seat and backrest and they arrived with brown vinyl. It looks quite nice, so we decided to keep them anyway. My husband had some problems with the assembly, but the directions are very clear and easy to follow.
