The design of this stool is very attractive. It has the appearance of an expensive stool. However,
it does not have the heavier weight of the more expensive stools. I have heavier stools in other areas of my home I am a bit insecure of
the stools durability. This insecurity is fostered by the football players in my family. Anyone with average size family members should be fine. My boys are of the rugby set. So I caution them before sitting. However, I am so pleased with the look of the stools I am willing to take my chances on the durablity. The stools are a pleasant addition to my new kitchen.

Purchased 6 and so far: Opened 1 - went together quite easily unlike what other reviewers said. It's not awkward at all. I guess if using the supplied tool it would take a long time. Just get your own Allen ratcheting screwdriver if you don't have one already. Now for my findings: Looks: very elegant. Quality: Wood backing flexes when leaning back. Does NOT feel stable. I actually took everything apart and put it back together again to try and adjust the fact that 3 out of 4 legs touch the ground and the supplied plastic feet are NOT adjustable. The legs are in 2 cross sections. (2 and 2) when you put the cross section together it seems like it will be easily leveled. However, once the metal swivel bracket and seat ring are attached, no matter how you bolt it down with the 4 bolts and washers, it changes and is NOT even. (Poor design quality).
I tested my Thomasville Rivage dining room chairs on the same surface and did not have a problem with all 4 feet touching the ground. (Solution will be to go and buy some higher quality adjustable rubber or plastic feet that go in the wood.)
Opened box 2: Going through the same motions as the 1st one I already put together: Low and behold - after attaching the seat backing to the swivel seat ring and setting it aside, I grabbed the 1st cross section leg out of the box and as removing the plastic I hear a SNAP ! The cross section snapped in half!!! The wood is super cheap! (as I said in bar stool #1 that I put together in which, the backing flexes as you lean back) Now I'm debating whether or not to even open the other 4 boxes. My wife likes the style and look, but as even another reviewer said: These feel really light unlike more expensive stools. In fact they move around on the floor when you try and swivel the seat without sitting on it.

Comments about Hillsdale Bonaire Swivel Bar Stool:
It came faster than originally promised. It was so easy to put together (I'm a 63 yr old gramma)...BUT, it was not the 24" I THOUGHT I ordered!!
I have taken it (one of two) apart...am re-boxing. It may be "EASY" FOR THEM to send you a label but at $49 to "send it back" I just lost any "savings" I thought I had..and I might add, they are NOT responsible for lost or damaged returns SO I will have to fork out another $$$ to insure these returns. NOT SO GREAT at all. Not sure I'll ever order again.
Probably should have bought them locally, in hindsight.
They are even more beautiful "in person". I have NO IDEA how well they'd hold up...the swivel action did seem VERY TIGHT...but I did not screw the seat onto the chair as I had realized it was too tall.
Comments about Hillsdale Bonaire Swivel Bar Stool:
Easy to assembly and not very heavy to move around.
Great online experience.
